To Specify an Object's Response to an Event

To specify how an object responds to an event, you enter a Micrografx QuickVector command (or list of commands) as the "value" of the event.

  1. Select the object in your Designer drawing.
  2. On the Object menu, click Properties. The Object Properties dialog box opens.
  3. Click the QuickVector Events tab.

  4. Click the event you want to define (for example, OnMouseEnter).
  5. Click Paste Verb. A list of command verbs appears.
  6. Click the verb you want (for example, ObjectColor). The verb appears in the Action box.
  7. Type a space and the verb parameter (for example, red). Not all verbs require parameters.

  8. Click Close.
In this example, when the user moves the mouse pointer over this object, the object changes to a red color.
